NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 00V114 Potential Number Of Units Affected: 8,132 Summary: Some of these passenger vehicles have internal fluid leaks in the brake hydraulic control unit. When the rear brake proportioning, antilock brake, traction control, or stability control feature is activated in some driving situations, the feature may not perform as designed. Remedy: Dealers will inspect the ABS hydraulic modulator unit and, if necessary, replace the hydraulic modulator. The manufacturer has reported that owner notification was to begin during May 2000. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Pontiac at 1-800-762-2737.
